Week 3
I just finished watching the 3 videos.
The video by Hons Rosling is the most impressive presentation I ever had. There are enormous data in his dynamic statically graphs. It is amazting to see the linearity (log scales for both) between child survivalrate and income. It also includs a wealth of information of the demographic trends of the world.
Nature of Choice and Happiness video emphasized the diversity neeeds of product, especially food industries.
The 1 minute presentation of "Price Can Determine Pleasure" by Prof. Baba Shiv is very interesting as well. I think it is true that "Price can determine pleasure". I feel better when having a $30 wine than have $15 wine, although in most case I can not tell their difference.
Through this 3 videos, I learnt something how people do marketing research.
Plan for Week 3:
1. Finish reading Text Chapter 3
2. Live Breeze: Tuesday March 20th. at 7:00 PM (I missed the breeze of Week 1 since I was in travel.)
3. More Learning Journal blogs
4. Have some practice on market research: markets, consumer customers and business customers
